  • Looka will ask you to select several logo styles you like.
  • Pick the ones that match your vision—whether modern, minimalist, classic, or bold.

Step 5: Pick Colour Preferences

  • Choose colour schemes that align with your brand identity.
  • If you’re unsure, Looka can suggest palettes based on your industry and preferences.

Step 6: Select Icons (Optional)

  • You can pick icons that relate to your business, or let Looka generate ideas for you.
  • Icons are useful if you want a symbol alongside your business name.

Step 7: Review Generated Logos

  • Looka will generate multiple logo options based on your selections.
  • Scroll through the designs and click on any logo to make customisations.

Step 8: Customise Your Logo

  • Adjust fonts, colours, icons, spacing, and layout to fine-tune the design.
  • Looka provides a user-friendly editor to modify details until you’re satisfied.

Step 9: Preview Your Logo

  • Looka allows you to see how your logo would look on business cards, social media, and websites.

Step 10: Purchase and Download

  • If you’re happy with the design, you can buy the logo package.
  • Looka offers different pricing tiers that include various file formats (PNG, SVG, EPS, etc.) and branding kits.

Bonus: Create a Full Brand Kit

  • Looka also provides branding assets such as business cards, letterheads, and social media kits if you need a cohesive brand identity.

Using the brief created in the previous lesson, here is the final logo created with Looka and several applications of the logo.

Final thoughts

Looka is a fantastic, cost-effective tool to create logos with. As a professional designer though, there would be a few elements I would tweak, which isn’t possible in Looka:

  • I would make the coffee cup less geomatic, softening lines to match the relaxed font.
  • I would consider a free font. Looka doesn’t give you the files for the font it uses; you have to buy that separately (when you purchase their Premium Logo package or Annual Brand Kit subscription, they will provide you with the font name). The font used in Hidden Perk’s logo (Yaddasht Bold) would cost around AUS$40 for a once-off desktop license plus another AUS$40 each year for a licence to use it on a website. This is relatively cheap in the world of fonts, with some font licences costing hundreds or thousands of dollars a year. You will be able to find most fonts for purchase at myfonts.
